Pieter is a recognized innovator, collaborator and problem solver who works to create great places and impactful mobility solutions for people and communities.

Through his collaborative experiences in advisory, management, and leadership roles over the last 20 years, Pieter has honed his understanding of the complexities of city building, place-making, and building stakeholders support. Mindful of context specific realities and perspectives, Pieter combines pragmatism and innovation to guide diverse interests towards shared visions and strategic outcomes.

Pieter’s practice is informed by his unique public agency career path that allowed him to inspire and influence visioning, planning and delivery of transformative sustainable mobility-driven urban development projects in Belgium (De Lijn), Québec (Réseau de Transport de la Capitale, Autorité Régionale de Transport Métropolitain) and British Columbia (TransLink).   

Pieter has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in engineering – architecture and is a graduate in Complementary studies in Urban Planning from Universiteit Gent in Belgium, holds a degree in Public Management from l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration Public in Québec and has a certificate in Social Innovation from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.  He is fluent in English, French and Dutch.
